I am an academic economist; live in Christchurch New Zealand; enjoy bridge, cycling, fly-fishing, camping at Totoranui (civilized style), reading sci-fi and fantasy; academic interests include information, uncertainty (de Finetti style), governance and public econ, experimental econ, all kinds of mathematica stuff, web and multimedia in education.....
I'm an economist at the University of Canterbury. I'm a theory type (micro, game theory, stat decision theory ) but am also fascinated by science generally, experimental methods in social sciences and and involving human decision making. I live in a wonderful spot in Governors Bay, enjoy movies, sci fi and fantasy fiction, jogging, cycling, sailing ( a little), and my ambition is to travel more and experience a wide diversity of human cultures...before I get too old to do so!
